How does freezing rain form?

Freezing rain is the name given to rain that falls when surface temperatures are below freezing. Unlike sleet, a mixture of rain and snow, ice pellets, or hail, freezing rain is made entirely of liquid droplets.

If the temperature is above freezing below the cloud bottom to the ground, the frozen particles melt into liquid droplets that reach the surface and this is called rain. Ice storms occur when precipitation particles melt and then fall through a layer of subfreezing air near the ground.

Why is there a groove line on the "F" and "J" keys on keyboards?

The bumps or nipples found on the F and J keys on the keyboard helps users correctly position their left and right hand on the keyboard without having to look at the keyboard. For example, without looking at your keyboard you should be able to feel the keyboard and correctly position your left index finger on the F and the right index finger on the J.
